Why we moved Just Barking to Pear Tree Yard

We opened Just Barking in 2009, and for many years we were proud to serve you from our original spot on Chamberlayne Road.

A little over a year ago, we moved just further up the road to Pear Tree Yard.

At first glance, it’s a quieter setting — a little more tucked away.

But for many of our customers (and their dogs), it’s turned out to be a better experience all round.

🚗 Easy, stress-free parking

No circling the block. No watching the clock. No parking tickets.

You can pull in, take your time, and have a proper handover with us — which makes a real difference, especially for dogs who pick up on stress.

🐶 A calmer environment for your dog

Being slightly set back from the high street means:

  • Less noise
  • Less foot traffic
  • Less rushing

It’s a more relaxed start to the groom — and that matters more than people realise.

We’re just delivering it in a setting that gives us a bit more breathing room.

We’re continuing to shape Pear Tree Yard into the calm, welcoming space we always imagined — a bit of a hidden gem, just off the road.
