  • Since opening our doors in June 2009, Just Barking has been part of the Kensal Rise / Queen's Park community — grooming dogs, building relationships, and caring for their wellbeing in every treatment.

    • We’re active members of the British Isles Grooming Association (BIGA). We proudly follow the UK Government’s Best Practice Guidance for groomers (created with the Canine & Feline Sector Group), ensuring your dog receives safe, ethical, compassionate care every time.

      From understanding each dog’s temperament, to maintaining hygiene and emergency protocols, our standards are more than promises — they’re documented, up-to-date, and transparent.

  • WHERE WE WORK / WHY IT MATTERS

    • Our new premises at Pear Tree Yard (264 Chamberlayne Road) gives us space to breathe, relax, and focus on quality. Because we combine our collar-and-lead workshop (located within the same building) with the grooming salon (own entrance via Pear Tree Yard), and are set back from the road with easy parking, we’re under less pressure from rising overheads.
    • What does that mean for your dog and you? A calmer arrival, no scramble trying to park and get your dog across the road and into the salon, a slower pace for your dog, and prices that are fair — not inflated.

    • Breed-standard styling, Creative & Asian Fusion grooming — always with welfare in mind.
    • Specialist services like Ultrasonic Teeth Cleaning as well as the Micro-bubble Oxygen Spa for skin and ear relief.
    • Advice and guidance: from food, skin care, dental hygiene, to brushing tips at home.
    • A welcoming environment: your dog is heard, handled with respect, and treated as an individual.

  • TO BOOK AN APPOINTMENT

    Please ring the salon directly on 020 8964 3231. Please book early - we are often fully booked a week or two in advance.

    First time? A non-refundable deposit of up to £30 may be taken per dog for all first-time appointments (the amount will be paid against your overall grooming fee). We do not normally take bookings by email or social media (though you can of course reach us on hello@justbarking.co.uk or ring us on 020 8964 3231 - pls be sure to leave a message if we're unable to pick up).

  • CANCELLING? 24hrs NOTICE PLEASE!

    If we don’t receive 24-hours notice by email or telephone, we lose money because it doesn’t give us much opportunity to re-book that appointment (wages still need to be paid..). We’ll remind you by email about your appointment beforehand.

  • REGISTRATION AND Ts&Cs

    All customers must register with Just Barking before we are able to groom your dog. The registration can take place when you first visit.
