Hand-Stripping

Please note that, due to the manual nature of the procedure, hand-stripping is charged on top of the grooming base-rate for your dog’s breed, depending on size, fullness of coat and time/effort required (generally between £20 and £40).

Hand-Stripping normally requires two visits. The first visit is the strip. The second is the bath and blow-dry and 'finish'. The purpose of two visits is to prevent furunculosis (bacterial infection of the skin). Pores open during a strip and to minimise the risk of bacteria infiltrating open pores, the bath takes place on the second visit. The full fee is payable at the first visit.
